With over 15 years of experience in Television Production in Sri Lanka, Tharinda has been involved in producing a wide variety of documentary films. One of his first assignments was as a producer for a magazine style documentary show called ‘Sathi’ (The week) that highlighted sensitive topics on the three-decade civil war in Sri Lanka. Following the end of the conflict, Tharinda then worked on feature documentaries that focused on promoting Sri Lanka’s culture and heritage such as ‘Sri Lanka’s Peraheras’. He later worked as the Director of Programmes for CCF TV, an initiative by the ministry of Tourism, and broadcast programmes such as ‘Wav BadhiDeshaya’ (The Nation of Lakes) to a wider audience across the world,
Throughout his journeys as a TV producer, Tharinda captured many moments from world heritage sites on his trusty camera. Using his DSLR and drone, Tharindais able to capture moments from interesting perspectives. Much of his work focuses around Architectural, landscape and nature. His knowledge and experience in wildlife photography and documentaries has been a strong factor to make the Leopard Nest a unique product and attract more wildlife photographers to stay with us.
